Summer breaze
, 2024"Games" by Ramon Bruin is an energetic blend of neo-expressionism and pop art, showcased in a dynamic 100 x 100 cm composition. Created in 2023, this piece combines vibrant acrylic and spray paints to form a playful, sarcastic portrayal of modern symbols and characters. Drawing from comic art influences, Bruin’s work bursts with color, humor, and a sense of raw spontaneity, typical of the neo-expressionist style.
The piece features iconic pop symbols like smiley faces, quirky animals, and animated objects, all fractured across the canvas in a chaotic yet balanced arrangement. These elements, often highlighted by bold lines and exaggerated features, invite viewers into a world that’s both familiar and surreal. This artwork is perfect for spaces that thrive on creativity and inspiration, such as game rooms, creative studios, or lively offices, where its energetic presence can enhance the ambiance. Bruin's hope to infuse joy into his work shines through, as each character and symbol feels alive, echoing the artist’s intention to bring humor and color into the lives of his audience.

Biography
I was born in Argentina and have lived in Israel since 1979. I am married +2. Painting has been my great passion since I was a little girl. My academic studies are in Chemistry, and I worked for the high-tech industry in 27 years. In 2015, I decided to leave my work to fully concentrate on my painting career. I developed my painting skills by attending drawing classes, realistic oil painting workshops, and many hours of self-study, especially the abstract style. I paint Abstract, Abstractive Landscapes, and Figurative styles.
I was featured in the Gold List top edition of the International Art Market Magazine, and on Capsules, a premium boutique publication. I was awarded a certificate of excellence by Art Market Magazine for my unique artistic style and high-technique achievement in the contemporary art world. I also received the special mention award in the 2022 Art Vue Foundations’ yearly competition. I hosted a solo exhibition, and have participated in several group exhibitions in Israel, New York, Italy and Madrid. In 2023, I started teaching my abstract painting techniques in workshops. When creating an abstract painting I work intuitively. I use several techniques including brushes, spatulas, sponges and silicon mops. At first, the shapes seem random, but layer by layer, they connect and make sense. The outcome is expressive and captivating abstracts. My figurative compositions are imbued with romance and sensuality. I start with a realistic drawing adding abstract elements during the painting step. When painting an abstractive landscape, I start with a blank canvas, I paint randomly but with a purpose in mind to create the specific scene. The scene can be something I saw in the past, a photo, or an imaginary landscape. I use the same techniques as in the abstract style.
