Biography
Transforming adversity into art, I embraced my journey from precise realism to the enigmatic beauty of palette knife paintings, fueling a passionate evolution in my Bustan Hagalil studio amidst life's unexpected turns.
My life took an unexpected turn nine years ago following the birth of my son when I was affected by a virus. This challenge transitioned me to life in a wheelchair, coping with a damaged vocal cord, and adapting to impaired fine motor skills. During my rehabilitation journey, I embarked on a transformative path in art. Although my earlier work was characterized by precise and realistic techniques, my new physical limitations compelled me to explore different artistic methods. Historically reliant on meticulous brushwork, I have since pivoted to a focus on palette knives—90% palette knives and 10% brushes, to be exact. Art has been my passion from a very young age, a path that was further enriched by my education in a graphic design program that provided me with extensive knowledge in the field. The challenge of translating my artistic abilities to accommodate my motor limitations led me to the use of palette knives. This adaptation ignited a profound love for the unique and enigmatic qualities of art that embraces imprecision. Today, I proudly run my own studio in the picturesque Moshav Bustan Hagalil, where I continue to evolve my artistic expression, finding beauty and strength amidst adversity.
