Playful Shadows" by Petra Gruiters is a captivating still life painting that showcases a delicate tea cup set against a serene background, accompanied by vibrant cherries.

The intricate floral patterns on the porcelain cup contrast beautifully with the deep red hues of the cherries. Gruiters, employing her painterly technique with oil on a wooden panel, masterfully captures the interaction of light and shadow, which dances across the surface, creating an engaging visual rhythm. This piece exudes a sense of calm and invites viewers to pause and appreciate the simple, yet elegant, arrangement. Ideal for a kitchen or dining space, "Playful Shadows" brings a touch of warmth and elegance, making it a charming addition to any collection.
