Forest Whisper Painting
, 2024A lush, textured landscape depicting a dense forest under a dramatic sky, invoking a sense of peace and mystery.
"Forest Whisper" is an evocative landscape painting that transports viewers into a rich, verdant forest scene beneath an expansive, vividly colored sky. The lower section of the painting is dominated by detailed brushwork depicting various shades of green foliage and hints of wildflowers, suggesting the wild, untamed nature of a forest. Above, the sky is a dramatic canvas of orange, blue, and white, reflecting the light of either sunrise or sunset, which adds a dynamic contrast to the earthy tones of the forest. The use of acrylics provides texture and depth, with thick applications of paint that add a tactile quality to the scene. The emotional resonance of the painting is contemplative and serene, aimed at evoking the quiet solitude one might experience in such a natural setting. The overall mood is peaceful, yet there is a hint of melancholy, aligning with Ginsburg's desire to evoke deep, emotional responses through her art.

Biography
The main purpose of my art is to show the observer a world different from what they see with their own eyes, essentially to show them my world. If through my art I managed to touch the observer's soul, evoke pleasant memories, bring tears of sadness or happiness, then I have indeed achieved my goal.
My name is Yelena Ginsburg, and I am an artist. I have been painting all my life, but the year 2021, the year of the pandemic, changed everything for me. I paint landscapes in an impressionistic style, abstract floristics with elements of Art Deco, and decorative air atmosphere paintings, mainly small-format works on canvas, including miniatures. In my work, I use acrylic paints. My paintings have been exhibited and are currently on display in a gallery in Jaffa. So, why did I start painting pictures? How to explain this conscious need? I cannot live otherwise. For me, it is an opportunity to express myself. All my adult life, I dreamed of painting... and now this opportunity has become a reality for me. The pandemic came hand in hand with inaction, but I found a solution, an opportunity to fulfill my dream... simply to start painting.
What is the purpose of art in my eyes? I believe the main goal of art is to show the observer a different world from what they see with their own eyes, to show them my world. If through my art, I managed to touch the soul of the observer, evoke pleasant memories, tears of sadness, or happiness, then I have achieved my goal. I want the observer's satisfaction, to give them a sense of happiness and assurance that everything will eventually be alright, that tomorrow the sun will rise, the flowers will bloom, the wind will settle, the moon will rise, and stars will twinkle in the night sky. This world and this life are beautiful! And if I manage to express that and evoke wonder, then I have achieved my goal.
