Biography
Born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1968, Richard Martin is an award-winning painter, photographer and graphic artist who reflects the richness of his diverse cultural backgrounds in his work.
Member of the Visual Entity for the Management of Plastic Artists (VEGAP), he graduated in Applied Arts at the Escola Superior de Disseny i Art Llotja.
His works, which are found in private collections in the United States and Europe, are based on the concept of open work and are characterized by the curve as a primitive structure, allowing multiple interpretations. They are built by superimposing layers of information, which generate complex structures. It highlights performativity, that is, the ability of art to produce effects on the viewer and create a unique experience.
